Nectar

What the code does

Inspection notes

Nectar is a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain built on Uniswap v4. It has four contracts and no owner. Everything below is what the code does, frame by frame, not what a page promises.

Frame 1 — the comb is the hook

A Uniswap v4 pool can name a hook contract that runs before and after every swap. On Nectar the coin is that contract: one body that is an ERC20 (with EIP-2612 permit), the hook of its own pool, and three cells. Its hook permissions are before-initialize, before-swap and after-swap, each returning a delta. There are no liquidity hooks at all, which is why the frame can be added to or pulled through Uniswap without asking anyone.

The comb’s owner is the zero address from the first block: the constructor takes ownership and renounces it in the same breath, so owner() answers and answers nothing. No mint after the hive, no pause, no blocklist, no transfer tax, no address that can be changed.

Frame 2 — the honey: 0.5%, in ETH, into three cells

Every swap in the home pool pays 0.5% of its ETH side. A buyer’s ETH is skimmed before the pool sees it; a seller’s ETH is sliced on the way out. The honey never leaves the PoolManager as loose ETH: the comb mints itself an ERC-6909 claim for it and books it into three cells: keeper 80% (whoever hived it), meadow 10% and queen 10%. Only a cell’s payee can harvest it, and harvesting is the only thing that turns the claim into ETH.

Frame 3 — the opening: 1.79 ETH, every time

Every pool opens on the same tick, the one where one billion combs are worth 1.79 ETH. The apiary hangs a single frame from that tick down to the lowest tick there is, holding the entire supply on the comb side. There is no price feed, no signer and no curve: the opening is a constant in the source.

Frame 4 — the frame is open, and the vault holds it

The position NFT is minted to the Nectar vault wallet, an ordinary account. It is not burnt and it is not locked. The vault can pull the liquidity, add to it or transfer the NFT through Uniswap’s own PositionManager whenever it chooses, and the comb’s hook will not stop it. Every comb page reads the position live and says whether it is intact. Trade with that in mind.

Frame 5 — hiving

Anyone can hive. The apiary deploys the comb with CREATE2 using a salt your browser mines so the address carries the hook flags, opens the pool, hangs the frame, and sends any rounding dust to the vault, all in one transaction. The queen hives her own comb, $NECTAR, exactly once. Hiving costs gas and nothing else.

Frame 6 — contracts

  • Comb — the coin: ERC20 + permit, hook, cells.
  • Bloom — the opening tick and liquidity, a library.
  • Apiary — hives combs; keeps a record per comb and the frame id; immutable.
  • Extractor — the router this site trades through; any v4 router can trade the same pools.
